UTAG-UCC argues that GTEC’s actions violate the institution's autonomy and due process. They have warned that if the sanctions are not lifted, it may lead to escalating industrial actions. This ultimatum comes amid growing tensions regarding regulatory interference in academic governance.

**Six Suspects  Arrested For Drug Trafficking By The Police In The North East Region **   The North East Regional Police Command, in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), has arrested six suspects involved in drug trafficking. This operation took place in Nalerigu, where authorities intercepted 1,195 boxes of Tramadol Hydrochloride 120mg, commonly referred to as "Red." The drugs were concealed in a truck near Gbintri. The suspects have been identified as Alhassan Braimah, Yakubu Muntaka, Abdulai Shakur, Mumuni Iddrisu, Mumuni Yakubu, and Moses Ayorik. They were apprehended on September 18, 2025, after two trucks with registration numbers GR 1712-16 and AW 4417-14 were intercepted.
