The President of the Republic of Ghana , His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has commissioned the new 260-capacity Inmates Skills Acquisition and Reformation Centre at Damongo Camp Prison , located in the Savannah Region of Ghana .   The facility is the third of its kind constructed by the Church of Pentecost and handed over to the Ghana Prisons Service to help address the challenge of overcrowding and promote the effective rehabilitation of inmates .

**Six Suspects  Arrested For Drug Trafficking By The Police In The North East Region **   The North East Regional Police Command, in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), has arrested six suspects involved in drug trafficking. This operation took place in Nalerigu, where authorities intercepted 1,195 boxes of Tramadol Hydrochloride 120mg, commonly referred to as "Red." The drugs were concealed in a truck near Gbintri. The suspects have been identified as Alhassan Braimah, Yakubu Muntaka, Abdulai Shakur, Mumuni Iddrisu, Mumuni Yakubu, and Moses Ayorik. They were apprehended on September 18, 2025, after two trucks with registration numbers GR 1712-16 and AW 4417-14 were intercepted.
